Grant of Re-Allocation Allowance for Officers/officials in South Punjab
Pleasant news for the officials and officers working in newly established secretariat in South Punjab. Government of the Punjab has been pleased to grant Re Allocation Allowance to the personnel posted in the South Punjab. The Secretariat has been established by the Government of the Punjab in order to development and progress of the backward areas of the South Punjab. Most of the officials and officers working the Civil Secretariat Punjab have been directed to join South Punjab Secretariat, however, no special allowance was awarded to the employees such as Secretariat/Executive Allowance recently was granted to the officers, therefore, it has been decided by the Competent Authority that the re-allocation allowance may be granted to the officers and officials working the South Punjab.
A summary was initiated by the Secretary Finance, Government of the Punjab to seek approval of the Chief Minister Punjab regarding grant of Re-allowance for the officials and offices working in the South Punjab. Consequent upon the approval of the Chief Minister Punjab, Finance Department issued memorandum having terms and condition vide letter No. FD.PR.12-1/2020 dated 11th December, 2020. Grant of
Re-Allocation Allowance was not only confined to South Punjab Secretariat but also for the officials and officers of Additional Inspector General of Police, South Punjab. The terms and conditions of grant of re-allocation allowance have been juxtaposed as under:-
- Re-allocation allowance will not be admissible for the personnel appointed in South Punjab Secretariat.
- Allowance would not be admissible for perpetuity and shall be subject to review by the Chief Minister Punjab.
- The mentioned allowance will not be counted for pension and commutation.
- The allowance shall not be admissible to the officials and officers joined South Punjab Secretariat on deputation basis or posted by the outside the secretariat.
- The subject allowance shall not be admissible to officers and officials having extra ordinary leave i.e. 120 or more.
