The University of Sargodha started its journey in 1929 as Government College of Sargodha, which was approved university status in 2002. Sargodha University is offering quality teaching and research in various disciplines. The University of Sargodha is ideally located not far from Lahore-Islamabad motorway in a city of central Punjab that has the oldest and largest airbase, and in a region popularly known as the California of Pakistan due to rich citrus production. The university has achieved a national distinction for synergizing academia with industry by innovating agrarian products and offering a variety of community services, including medical emergency and lab facilities. A 200-bed hospital in University will start its functioning soon.

The university also runs an FM radio station. Mode of teaching at the University of Sargodha is not just confined to impact the tying knowledge, but also teach the values and behaviors to the students. Thousands of students being taught in the University by more than 700 faculty members, at the main campus and sub-campuses in Sargodha city. Two sub-campuses are also present in Mianwali and Bhakkar and five public-private partnership campuses in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Mandi Baha Uddin. Thousands of students of its 400 affiliated colleges spread across the province of Punjab. University of Sargodha admissions 2018:

Every year thousands of students appear in exams of different disciplines through Sargodha University. The university does not announce the registration schedule 2017 separately. If the candidates are willing to appear in exam for the first time then they has to pay registration fee along with the admission from and admission fee. Whole procedure of admission involves the admission from, admission fee, mentioned criteria and all the rules and regulations mentioned below in this article. The university advertises its admission notice in well-known newspapers. University does not accept incomplete admission forms in case of any mistake in form student will only be responsible of it. The university announces its admission schedule in well-known newspapers and also places on website. Last date of submission of application for is 5th October, 2017.

Admission Criteria for Undergraduate & Post Graduate Students:

  • 75% seats filled on open merit basis and 25% seats reserved for the graduates of UOS.
  • Twenty Five percent of total seats filled by the students who are graduated from the University of Sargodha.
  • There is No marks deduction for 1st Annual Current year & 2nd Annual Previous year.
  • 10 marks deduction will be made on 1st Annual Previous year & 2nd Annual a year before previous years from terminal degree
  • 20 marks deduction from terminal degree for 1st Annual a year before Previous Year & 2nd Annual 2 year before previous year
  • No marks deduction for 1st Annual Current year & 2nd Annual Previous year
  • 10 marks deduction from terminal degree for 1st Annual Previous year & 2nd Annual a year before previous years
  • Additional 20 marks for Hafiz-e-Qur’an to be included wherever applicable for 1st Annual a year before Previous Year & 2nd Annual 2 year before previous year.

Rules and Regulation for the admissions 2018:

  • Only those candidates who have passed FA/F.Sc, BA/BSc or any equivalent examination shall be eligible for admission to the next higher classes.
  • Number of admissions cannot be increased without the approval of the Vice Chancellor, nor shall the criteria be modified without his approval.
  • In case of student who was rusticated, disqualified, or whose entry in any Institute was banned during his/her academic career, shall not be admitted to any class without the permission of the Vice Chancellor.
  • Any Reserved Seat which remains unfilled at the closing date or extended period may, with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, be transferred to the Merit Quota.
  • The admission of disabled students processed under Committee constituted to determine the disability of candidate. The student shall be considered eligible after verification. All departments will receive all forms irrespective of their eligibility.
  • Employees of University if want to get admission in the University in any program also required to provide NOC before the last date for submission of forms.
  • It is the responsibility of the students to provide the detailed marks sheet to the department before the last date for submission of forms. If they fail to provide the marks sheet they will not be considered eligible for admission.
